In my recent work [2007] I was inspired by the form and the action of the human brains. Although we have already acquired great knowledge of the brains, there are still a lot of secrets to be unraveled.
In this digital era it’s intriguing to know how our own “PC” defines our acting and our world picture.
Assuming that form, contents and meaning are closely related to each other I start from the interesting architecture of the brains.
Thus drawings and sculptures from the form of the brains but also from CT-scans from which especially the ventricles interested me, came into being.
As I greatly valued the immaterial space in earlier work of mine, I see the ventricles as a much needed space to make room for our mind at an abstract level.
